Property Policies
- Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited in rooms and apartments. Please use designated outdoor areas only.
- Quiet Hours: Guests are asked to remain quiet between 23:00 and 07:00.
- Pets: Pets are not allowed on the premises.
- Extra Beds: Cots/ playpens are available upon request in advance.
- Age Restrictions: Guests under 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Children: Children of all ages are welcome. Please ensure your booking reflects the correct number of children and their ages for accurate pricing and occupancy.
Deposits & Identification
- All bookings require a 25% deposit.
- Upon check-in, please present a valid license or identification document along with a credit card for pre-authorization.
- A temporary $250 incidental deposit is required via credit card; we do not accept cash or debit for this deposit. This amount will be returned in full provided there are no damages to the property.
Gift Certificates
If you have a one night’s accommodation gift certificate with an expiry of April 2015, please note the denominational value of the gift certificate of $99.00 can be applied towards you room reservation. When booking gift certificate number must be given at the time of making your reservation and gift certificate must be presented upon check in. No reservation will be honored without the actual gift certificate being presented.
Cancellation
Monastery Spa Hotel suites and packages are reserved via credit card. We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling to avoid a full charge of the remaining balance.
All no-shows or cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be subject to a 100% charge for packages and a minimum of one night’s accommodation. Please note that this policy also applies to reservations made using gift certificates or vouchers.
Your room rate is charged by 6:00 p.m. on day of arrival.
Guarantee
Generally we cannot guarantee any room or location, although we make every effort to grant special requests.
Pricing
Pricing in our Suites is based upon occupancy of two people per room. Extra guests will be charged $20, plus applicable taxes per person. We reserve the right to limit the number of guests per suite.
Check-in/ Check-out Times
Check-in after 3:00 pm.
Check-out by 11:00 am.
For guests needing an earlier check-in, our fee is $25 for each additional hour before 3pm.
Need a later check out – we can offer later check out for $25 for each additional hour after 11am.
We will do our best to accommodate, if at all possible, discuss with our guest services team.
Spa Appointments
The spa is typically very busy on weekends, as well as many weekdays, so it may be difficult to arrange services on the day of your arrival. We suggest that you consider booking your spa treatments as early as possible to ensure you get your preferred day and time. You can do this either by contacting us or by using the online reservation system.
No Smoking
As we strive to offer our guests a healthy and clean environment, smoking in your room will incur a $250.00 cleaning fee.
Phones
Local calls are included in room rate.
Any long distance telephone calls must be made using either your credit card or a calling card.
Lost Articles
Monastery Hotel is not responsible for articles lost, stolen, or left behind in the suites.
Pets
Pets are not permitted.
Payment Procedures
Cash, money orders, gift certificates, or major credit cards will be accepted for final payment. Personal cheques will not be accepted.
Additional Housekeeping
If any additional housekeeping is required after your stay has ended (i.e.: moved furniture, excessive Jacuzzi abuse, etc…), an additional amount will be charged accordingly to your credit card.
Children
In the Spa, an adult must accompany children under 16.

We will be happy to answer any questions that you may have about bringing a group to Monastery Spa Hotel. Please contact us to determine the deposit fee and other details.
Liability
Guests are responsible for all charges and damages incurred during their stay. Please note that The Leaside Group is not responsible for any damage to vehicles or for lost or stolen items from guest rooms, apartments, or vehicles.
