Laser Hair Removal

Laser_Hair_Removal

Laser hair removal is a pulsed light treatment that targets the melanin in the hair follicle; the pulse of light produces heat to destroy the bulb.  We use the most state of the art, comfortable IPL technology available.  There is little to no discomfort during the treatment as our IPL has a chill tip of -8 degrees Celcius which provides a comfortable experience.

Laser hair removal is considered permanent hair reduction.  It is permanent to the terminal hairs being treated in the anagen stage of hair growth.

The average person will require 6 – 8 sessions spaced at 4 to 6 week intervals depending upon the area of the body being treated.   Our system is non-invasive, safe and reliable and can remove various shades of brown and black anagen hair anywhere on the body.

who is eligible for hair removal?

Because it is so safe, almost anyone is eligible to receive this treatment.  Persons aged 16 years and up who are experiencing unwanted hair and who have fair skin and dark hair are the ideal candidates.   As well as anyone with skin types up to and including skin type 5.

how dark does the hair need to be?

The laser is attracted to the pigment in the hair follicle; it works best on hair with dark shades of black or brown.  Unfortunately, there are no lasers that treat blonde, red and white hair.
